Advanced Taekwon-Do/HupKwonDo Classes

Our art is built on the foundation laid down by the late General Choi Hong Hi, who transformed traditional ways of blocking, punching and kicking into the highly popular modern martial art form known as TaeKwon-Do. The movements, techniques and rules set down by Gen Choi, are also suitable for sport, competition and younger people.

Just as an oak tree never stops growing, we need to continue progressing and upgrading. After 45 years of continuously training and learning from many great Grand Masters of the world, who kindly and generously shared their skills, expertise and insights in different styles and systems of martial arts, our founder, Grand Master Lim Ching Sing has learned from the past but looked to the future. With Grand Master Lim, in Advanced Taekwon-Do or HupKwonDo, we progress forward to illuminate the hidden moves in traditional TaeKwon-Do and refine and elaborate upon the them.

We incorporate energy, dynamic (powerful yet subtle) movements (explosive yet easy on the joints) and agile, natural stances (stable yet responsive) into existing Taekwon-Do training programs.

The aim is to create an effective combat system which is optimized for self-defence, personal, mental and physical development. Perhaps best of all, while suitable to the young, our approach allows practitioners to continue training into their senior age without worrying about damage to their joints and muscles.

Our techniques and concepts continue to evolve. Our martial art is a dynamic, continuously growing and adapting system.

Of course no amount of reading or web surfing is going to is going to answer all your questions.
The only way you'll ever really know if we're the right fit for yourself or your son or daughter is if you GIVE IT A TRY!
